We follow the local school terms, with 11 lessons in each. No lessons in half term, when we run camps and workshops instead.

Try any instrument for ten minutes, meet the teachers and ask about places for the spring term.
Band camp
Half-term band camp
Tuesday 27 – Thursday 29 October
Ages 9 to 15. Form a band, learn three songs and play them to parents on the last afternoon.
Concert
Winter concert
Saturday 5 December, 2pm and 5pm
Every student who wants to play gets a spot: soloists, bands, ukulele club and a Little Notes finale. Retiring collection for charity.
Workshop
Songwriting for teens
Tuesday 16 February, 10am – 3pm
Half-term workshop for ages 12 to 16. Write a song in a group and record a rough demo to take home.
Concert

Saturday 20 March, 3pm
The spring term's bands and soloists, plus our first grade exam results of the year. Retiring collection for charity.

Tuesday 6 – Friday 9 April
Four days, four bands and a gig on Friday afternoon. Ages 9 to 15, some playing experience needed.
Concert

Saturday 10 July, 1pm
Our summer show outdoors. Bring a picnic. If it rains, we move into the church hall.

Our biggest week of the year. Ages 9 to 15, 10am to 3pm, with a show for families on Friday.
Holiday band camps
Form a band on Monday. Play a gig on Friday.
Who it’s for
Ages 9 to 15 with at least a term of lessons on any instrument, including singing.
The day
10am to 3pm. Bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. Drums, amps and keyboards are here.
The finish
Every camp ends with a short gig for families on the last afternoon.

Termly concerts
Everyone gets a turn on stage.
Three concerts a year, open to every student from Little Notes to Grade 8. Nobody has to play, but most want to by their second term. Tickets are free and the retiring collection goes to a local charity each time.
